It is been my dream to own a motorcycle for a long time. I did not want just any motorcycle. I wanted a Harley Davidson. Now anyone who knows anything about motorcycles knows that this is an almost impossible goal for a man with a moderate income like myself. Harley Davidsons, nowadays, cost almost as much as a house. It just was not going to happen. Nonetheless, I kept my eyes open for years, looking at used motorcycles for sale. I knew that one day, I would find a used Harley Davidson for sale that was within my price range. As it turns out, that day came sooner than I had expected.
Buying a used motorcycle for sale is like buying a used car for sale. There's this strange balance between saving money because of the oldness of what you are buying, and spending extra money because it might be vintage. A used Harley for sale might be either much less, or even more than a new one. It would depend on a complicated set of factors. Now, I am no motorcycle connoisseur, and I'm certainly no motorcycle expert, but I knew that I would not be able to afford a used motorcycle for sale if it was in decent shape. Used motorcycles for sale, as well as used ATVs, tend to become a lot cheaper if you are willing to buy a fixer upper. I knew nothing about fixing used motorcycles for sale, but knew that it was my only chance to get one. I figured I'd give it a try.
Most of the used motorcycles for sale that I could afford where in such sorry shape that I wouldn't even consider them. Some used motorcycles for sale came without even an engine block. Others were so rusted out that there was nothing that could be done for them save scrapping them for parts. Finally, I found two used motorcycles for sale that were worth considering. They were well within my price range, but they needed a lot of work. I actually ended up buying both used motorcycles for sale. One of them was to fix up and the other was just for parts. The first was in such bad shape, you see, that it would need several things replaced. It took me months and months of work, but finally I have a working Harley Davidson. I never have been prouder of myself!
