Bad Check
If there is one thing you want to avoid doing when you first start out with your own money and your own credit is writing a bad check. Though you may get it cleared up quickly and it barely registers as a blip, there can be huge problems if you let it hang. It?s never a good idea to bounce a check thinking you can cover it when you get paid. It?s a vicious cycle. You may cover it, but you also have the fee to contend with, and this just leaves you short week after week. It is never a good idea, and you don?t want to be caught in that cycle if you can help it.

When you write a bad check you are pretty much saying that you aren?t reliable or trustworthy, and that?s not something people forget very easily.
If you need something, but don?t have the money for it, you have to figure out if you really need it or not. Though I have seem moms write a bad check for diapers, there has to be another way to get what you need. If you just write a bad check because you want something that you could easily do without, you should stop yourself and get a handle on your spending and your ideas about what is important. You may get that new sweater now, but in the end it?ll be a mortgage that you don?t get. It?s not worth it.
